Does That Sum It Up?

Her jacket says it all or does it? Yeah, I care! Maybe what I posted on social media helps clarify things or maybe it doesn’t. Who knows? I hope somebody does. I hope the White House knows what it is doing, but not from what I’ve seen. I wouldn’t blame you if you’re confused. I am and so seems to be the policies and initiatives coming out of the White House. I once read that a president can’t improve the economy, but he can certainly ruin it and I happen to agree so why is Trump touting its success as an accomplishment? Is he taking credit for it because there’s nothing else? That’s not true. He also gave a tax cut to the rich.
Along with the economy improving, the jobless rate has gone down. Trump takes credit for that too. He particularly emphasizes the improvement in African American jobless numbers saying nothing about the types of jobs they’re getting. The economy and all the good things that go with it are improving by themselves, but it doesn’t surprise me that Trump is taking credit for them. Egomaniacs do! There’s not too much he doesn’t give himself credit for, but they’re happening by themselves! It’s simple economics!
His view on immigration which seems to be targeted at Muslims, the wall he so loves, imprisonment of children, comments like there were good people on both sides showing undue acceptance of racists and neo-Nazis, surrounding himself with nefarious people, … The list could go on, but I think the point has been made. The bad far outweighs the good.
Trump himself said that the economy is going to crash if he’s impeached. At least, we’re in agreement there. A president can ruin an economy (He can also ruin the value of currency)! Where we differ is that he thinks he can take credit for it doing well. All I can say is that I beg to differ. Unfortunately, we can say goodbye to good economic performance because of all the bad policies coming out of the White House and probable impeachment. It’s only a matter of time before he ruins the economy. He won’t do it on purpose, but it will happen. He can also say something loudly and often enough in the hope of making it true like he has in saying that he has done nothing wrong, but it doesn’t work that way even if he really wants it to. I get the biggest charge out of him calling those who testify against him flippers like the CEO of The National Enquirer. Those who tell the truth – I don’t know why they were involved in the first place, but I’m not writing about them – are flippers. What has America come to? Where have normal values gone?
