Defeat Stinks! Doesn’t It?

Yeah it does, but it happens! I have written about Trump many times and it amazes me that he even holds the office he does. He has a penchant for puffing – a real estate term for overstating the benefits of something or in more common language, exaggerating – and in the current squabble between the Democrats and Republicans, he’s doing that, but I warned people before he even became President that they had better be careful because you get what you ask for. He nonetheless became President. He’s a very wealthy egomaniac! He’s selfish! He’s misogynistic! He’s everything I am not! I take pleasure in the fact that his popularity has plummeted in the polls. It’s nonetheless horrible it has come to this – the longest government shutdown in history. He has said some terrible things like he feels the shutdown should go on as long as it has to. His egotism made him say that and he should have left that characteristic and others I find awful at the door of the White House. He’s responsible for repealing DACA. So if I add everything up, I hope he losses this spat, but he already has. The polls and the fact that he even made the proposal say so. It might not be enough in my mind, but he has had to swallow his pride. Pelosi’s rejection of his latest offer even before it was made was wrong too. His proposal showed movement on his part which he, without a doubt, found extremely difficult. Whether it was enough movement depends on your opinion of DACA and Trump’s wall. Trump did offer to reinstate DACA and leave it alone for 3 years and the Democrats have agreed to physical barriers at the border before so it seems to me, it is time to negotiate. If it’s truly a moral issue then Pelosi and the Democrats should be looking to tear down the existing barriers, but they’re not.

At this point, the only people who have been truly defeated are the Federal workers and they did even ask for it!
