Hypocrisy – Is It Rampant in Our World?

I don’t know if it is rampant, but I can be forgiven for finding it that way! Who wouldn’t find it that way when the President of the United States is Trump? Is there a better example of someone being hypocritical and self-serving? I don’t think so. He is either hypocritical or he downright lies. He certainly misconstrues things to suit his own needs. You can make your own judgement. I leave it to you.
Trump certainly took credit for the economy when most indicators like the Dow Jones Index and others were doing well. Funny that he isn’t taking the blame now that they aren’t. All major financial indices are showing we are close to what is officially called a bear market. Officially, the financial indices (the DOW, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 for example) have to drop by more than 20% before the market can be called a bear market and all 3 of them I mention are nearing this mark and other indices have fallen below it, but I haven’t heard Trump at all taking the blame for this. Why then did he take credit for the situation when the opposite was true? I said in one of my blogs and I believe it to be true to this day. A President can't make an economy do well, but he or she certainly ruin it and guess where we are. It is being ruined!
And then there’s what he said about the extradition of Huawei’s (a Chinese telecommunications company) and the daughter of the company’s founder, Meng Wanzhou. She’s the Deputy Chairman of the company as well as the Chief Financial Officer. The US government asked Canada to extradite her to the United States. The countries have an extradition treaty so it would be done under that treaty assuming the Canadian courts find the request warranted. She was arrested in Vancouver’s airport. Trump has said he would intervene in the case if it would benefit the country in its trade negotiations with China. Come on Trump! Either she deserves extradition or she doesn’t! You can’t have it both ways! If anything Trump, you politicized the request and have damaged it severely. In fact, the courts may find in her favor because of you and your comments!
What about the Saudis and what was done to Khashoggi? “Maybe he did and maybe he didn’t,” Trump said, but he seems to be missing something. Canada supplies the USA with a lot more oil than the Saudis! Whose pockets are being lined?
On a related note, I just heard that Michael Flynn (Trump’s former National Security Advisor) didn’t know it was unlawful to lie to the FBI! WHAT?!? I guess like Trump he believes lying to anybody else including the American public is okay!
