A Blue Wave? I Think So. They Won The House! Checks And Balances Are Now Restored!

Trump and his policies have been divisive. Lately, he has been downright lying! Things he has said about the caravan coming through Mexico to enter the country illegally have no basis. “There are bad people in the caravan,” he said. Trump would have you believe that anyway. Where he gets it from I don’t know, but everything points to thin air. Nobody wants immigrants to get into the country illegally. America is a sovereign country and proud of it. There are procedures in place to prevent illegal immigration. If they’re flawed, then a better approach in my mind would be to change them. Don’t resort to fear mongering, but that is what Trump did. I mean I don’t know, but he probably made his money in the business world that way. As I mentioned in my blog of October 24, he has a propensity to puff – a real estate term – which means to exaggerate (or lie) to one’s own benefit. In that blog, I wrote about several incidents of puffing that have occurred since he has become President and I didn’t imply the list was in any way exhaustive – more come to mind. I couldn’t help myself, but when I heard him say that he tries to tell the truth to a news broadcaster, I had to laugh! I could only think that he needs to try harder. It’s not that difficult!

Trump has made the mid-terms a referendum on himself, so he said anyway. This is a guy who hasn’t submitted his taxes and has no plans to do so as far as I know. I wonder why not. There must be something to hide! He claims there has been no collusion with the Russians. Mueller isn’t finished yet so we’ll see. He has been bankrupt over 10 times – some business man! He isn’t self-made as he would have you believe. His father supported him for years and I heard his father made his money by somewhat nefarious means – read suspicious. He claims that there has been a lot of illegal voting – again without any proof. There have been claims of voter suppression and redistricting to make election results favor the Republicans. “Drain the Swamp” should be “Drain the Dishonesty and Fear Mongering.” That would better reflect Trump’s White House and how they govern and pursue policy!

No wonder I am so happy. Over the next 2 years, Trump is finally going to get what he deserves and the Presidency wasn’t one of them! The election of 2016 was an aberration. Let’s hope it stays that way. We will see if impeachment is on the table. I wouldn’t doubt it. On another note, I heard about a horrible, horrible, horrible, … effigy video made of last year’s Grenfell Tower fire, but two wrongs don’t make a right! At least in the Grenfell Tower case, 5 arrests have been made.
