Before I continue with this blog, I extend my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Senator John McCain, a true American hero and patriot. He wanted to make the country better! Whether I agreed with his policies or not doesn’t matter because I always knew what they were.
Congratulations to the winners of this year’s Little League World Series, Hawaii! HOORAY!!! Well done and it really was the world!
Now back to my blog.
Unfortunately, you have to be inside of the head of the current President to know where he stands unlike Senator McCain. No that’s not true, you only need to truly believe money rules the world and be really egomaniacal to know where Trump stands. He is consistent here – wrong, but consistent! I wondered if President Trump was ever a Little Leaguer so I looked the pledge up. I include it above. The pledge was written in the 1950s by an official of the game. Some local leagues may choose to only recite certain parts of it, something like how Trump runs the country.
He trusts in God. At least, we are led to believe that by what he says. He loves his country. He implies that often enough in any case. I mean, why else would he have all the football players who choose to take a knee during the National Anthem fired? Whether or not he respects the country's laws is very, to say the least, dubious – just think Cohen, Manafort, Pecker, and now, Weisselberg – someone who knows his finances very well! “I will play fair and strive to win.” The first part, I am not sure about, but I will leave that to Mueller and the justice department to figure out while they determine whether he has indeed respected the laws of the land. There is no doubt about the “strive to win” part in my mind if winning is money. There is a lot of evidence of that. I don’t know if "lose" is in his vocabulary, but if it isn’t, it should be.
To sum it up, I don’t think he played Little League baseball and if he did, he didn’t take the pledge seriously at all!
